Experience

Our software development experience dates back to the days when COBOL and FORTRAN were the standard business and scientific languages used, respectively (1970s). We are currently using a variety of state-of-the-art software development tools that facilitate the speedy production of sophisticated interactive tools for users who want to derive the maximum benefit from their computer resources investment. As business owners ourselves, we understand the issues affecting most business entities. That experience becomes a major asset in the process of converting your ideas on solving your individual business problems into solutions that utilize current Computer and Internet technologies.

Database Applications

In today's business world, information holds the key to the success of an enterprise. Being able to capture, process, and analyze the collected data within the shortest span of time, is one of the most important tasks for any decision maker. We have been helping customers deal with the changing computer environment by providing database applications designed to convert data from one format to another, to interface off-the-shelf applications (e.g., QuickBooks) with locally-developed programs, to manage their financial and personnel resources, to control their business operations, and many other database-related applications.

Internet Applications

As the Internet matures into a more structured and trusted environment for conducting serious business, savvy business owners are finding ways to extend many of their desktop applications into the exploding on-line market, where there are no frontiers to keep you from communicating with the entire world. We can help you take advantage of these new capabilities by understanding your business goals and providing you with the options applicable to your unique requirements so you can make intelligent decisions on your approach to this new marketing environment.

Pen-Based Computer Applications

One of the most important recent developments in the PC industry has been the introduction of the pen interface. By using a stylus to replace the keyboard, mobile computers are fueling the need for users to be productive immediately by reducing the training requirements associated with traditional data collection methods, and provide a higher level of portability than keyboard-based systems. The pen interface allows users to interact with the computer in a very natural and familiar way by entering text, numbers and graphics in "electronic ink" directly on the screen. The list of benefits of this technology is endless, especially for field-based data collection, and when you marry it with Wireless Communications, to give the user the capability to send and receive information when and where ever he/she wants it. CompuMedia Center is currently developing a pen-based computer application to assess property damages.
